BARLEY MILL PLAZA...

Barley Mill Plaza used to be a du Pont Family air strip. As the du Pont dynasty expanded and Wilmington’s population grew, the du Pont family developed the land into a fledging office park, providing hundreds of thousands of square feet for offices for numerous businesses. In the years to come, the property would be scrutinized as development companies sought to make it a high-end luxury retail outlet. The public pushed back and the land transferred ownership once again to Pettinaro.

With Pettinaro, CDA assisted in conceptualizing their vision of providing the Delaware with it’s very first Wegmans as it’s anchor. The redevelopment of Barley Mill Plaza includes over 160,000 SF of Office Space, nearly 150,00 SF of Retail Space, 33 Townhomes and 80 Apartments. Some of the current tenants include, Wegmans, Morgan Stanley, Mattress Warehouse, McGlynns Pub, Christina Care Urgent Care, kaffe KARMA, ALOBLOW, FirstWatch, Restore, and many more.
